Bridge Course Manager

Student sections, faculty scheduling, timetable and attendance

Local-first application

The need

Schedule a bridge course across student sections while tracking faculty workload, room use and attendance.

Why it was developed

Replace repeated manual allocation and timetable reconciliation with one reusable course-management workflow.

How to use it

  1. Install Node.js, clone the repository and run npm start. Set ADMIN_PASSWORD locally to enable administration.
  2. Import students, faculty and courses; divide students into sections, generate the timetable and record attendance.
  3. Set up the separate Google Apps Script/Sheets bridge only if synchronized recovery and sheet writeback are needed.

How it can save time or money

Reuses allocation rules and data imports; reduces repeated timetable preparation and manual faculty/section reconciliation.

These are potential benefits, not measured savings. Include setup, maintenance, review and local operating costs when comparing your own workflow.

Current scope & limits

Local core has no mandatory paid API. Hosted operation and Google-account quotas are separate; no current hosting price or measured savings is asserted.
