SvaraCraft Learn

Generate and review a local narrated coding lesson video

Implemented pilot

The need

A short coding lesson requires narration, diagrams, timed captions, rendering and a record of review.

Why it was developed

Automate a repeatable, locally reviewed coding-video workflow using the existing voice environment instead of repeatedly assembling those parts manually.

How to use it

  1. Install/configure the sibling Voice Studio application at D:/LocalVoiceStudio, with its cached Supertonic voice and local Whisper model. Put FFmpeg and FFprobe on PATH.
  2. Run Start-Learn.ps1, then open http://127.0.0.1:8790.
  3. Prepare the included insertion-sort recipe, produce the lesson, then watch and review the resulting video. Publishing remains disabled.
  4. For command-line production use the Voice Studio Python environment to run controller.py produce.

How it can save time or money

Reuses local narration, diagram generation, caption timing and FFmpeg rendering, reducing repeated editing steps and avoiding a mandatory paid video-generation API.

These are potential benefits, not measured savings. Include setup, maintenance, review and local operating costs when comparing your own workflow.

Current scope & limits

The archived pilot implements one authored English insertion-sort recipe. Hardcoded D:/LocalVoiceStudio paths are retained and documented; this is not a portable installer or autonomous publishing product. Models and previous outputs are excluded.
